  I lived in Senate Manor for 6 months and in Chelsea Manor for about 4.5 years. My review will primarily be for Chelsea Manor: For the most part, my apartment experience was fine. There was some managerial turnover but nothing of major concern. The location was ideal for near downtown living, I liked the parking lot and sometimes took advantage of parking on the street. I will note that once while parking on the street, my car was broken in to and I was left with the repair of a broken window.
  
  Maintenance was nice and sidewalks/parking lots etc. were usually clear in the winter, however I had some requests that took longer than anticipated to be tended to. The apartments are a nice size and the appliances were in good working condition but my bathtub surround peeled, and if you like to play music in general or are hard of hearing, neighbors will complain from time to time (not to you, but to management) about your noise level. I encountered this a handful of times as a resident, and found it somewhat disconcerting to receive an email from the management company when my neighbors really should have come to speak to me about their concerns or ask me to adjust my volume as having a "middle man" created more annoyance. (No one ever complained after the unofficial 'quite hours' interestingly enough).
  
  Laundry is coin operated but there would be a non-functioning washer or dryer more than a few times throughout the year. In addition, some neighbors tended to remove other resident's belongings from the dryer which caused quite a few apartment management emails. The apartment is locked but most deliveries were successful and neighbors were super helpful about ensuring that packages were placed inside of the locked doors. I never had a package stolen.
  
  Finally: READ your lease & re-read your lease. Rent rose while I lived there about $20-$25 per year. Once when I asked why the rent kept increasing, I was told something along the lines of it was to keep up with surrounding rent hikes... When I finally decided to move out, I failed to read the 60 day notice clause and after my notice was submitted, no one in the office told me that I would be responsible for any additional costs incurred. It resulted on me being charged 5 additional market rate days for rent in September plus a month to month fee, even though I paid my August rent in full and moved out on August 27th...So unless you want to pay rent for days you aren't occupying an apartment: be aware of that.
